Cinnamon Rolls with Cinnamon Flavor

For the cinnamon rolls:

  • 2 eggs
  • 100g sugar
  • 600g of flour
  • 230ml warm milk
  • 75g of melted butter
  • 1 sachet of baker's yeast
  • 10 drops of cinnamon flavouring


For the cinnamon sugar :

  • 10g cinnamon
  • 220g brown sugar
  • 75g of soft butter


For the icing:

  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 50g soft butter
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavouring

Preparation:

  1. Make the dough. In order, dissolve the baker's yeast in the warm milk and sugar.
  2. In a container, put the flour and make a well. Add the 2 eggs one by one, then incorporate the yeast, warm milk and sugar mixture.
  3. Finally add the melted butter and the natural cinnamon flavouring.
  4. Form a ball with the dough. Cover and let rise for 1 hour in an oven. (oven turned off and closed with a bowl of boiling water inside).
For the cinnamon sugar:
  1. Roll out the dough thinly on your floured work surface.
  2. Spread the soft butter over the entire surface with your hands, then sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon mixture evenly over it.
  3. Roll the dough into a ball and cut it into 4cm wide pieces.
  4. Place the pieces in a rimmed dish with a sheet of baking paper.
  5. Cover with baking paper and let rise in the oven for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat your oven to 200 C° and bake for 15-20min the cinnamon.
For the glaze:
  1. Beat the cream cheese, soft butter, sugar and natural vanilla flavouring with a whisk.
  2. Coat this glaze as soon as the cinnamon is out!
