Rolled Yule log with Vanilla and Cinnamon flavors

  • 3 eggs
  • 80g of flour
  • 50g of butter
  • 200g of dark chocolate
  • 100g of powdered sugar
  • 5 drops of cinnamon flavouring
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla flavouring

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, whiten the sugar and the yolk (mix firmly with a spatula, so that the mixture turns from orange to light yellow).
  2. Add the flour, vanilla and cinnamon flavouring to the mixture and mix again firmly.
  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff, mixing gently so that everything is aerated.
  4. Spread the mixture on a sheet of baking paper, previously placed on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C.
  5. Take the sponge cake out of the oven and lay it on a wet cloth.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie and pour it evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll the cake gently in the direction of the width.
  8. Pour more chocolate on the log and decorate it as you wish.
