A short history of Nerolian

The origins

Néroliane is first and foremost the Côte d'Azur of perfumes: a history and a knowledge linked to the light of the Grasse region, to the richness of its olfactory heritage and to the production of perfume plants.

The pure and natural essential oils that we distribute today come exclusively from the historical laboratories of the Grasse perfumery, custodians of the double know-how of distillation and cultivation of aromatic plants.

From the brigade to Nerolian

The story begins in Vallauris at the beginning of the 20th century when the co-founders of Néroliane started marketing bigarade peels, the coulanes. This activity was reinforced by importing aromatic plants and essential oils and by distilling local plants and flowers such as roses and irises. This was the heyday of Grasse: the city was justly honoured with the title of world capital of perfume. In the 1970s, the company set up an import network that rapidly expanded to over 40 countries.

The company's expansion continues under the impetus of a son-in-law who creates subsidiaries in Spain and Lebanon and builds the laboratory necessary for the company's development.

In its time, the Néroliane brand was a sign of the company's desire to open up to a wide public by making authentic aromatic raw materials available to everyone.
